If it’s not enough that iZotope just celebrated its 15th birthday by giving away the 64-bit version of Vinyl, the new DDLY Dynamic Delay plug-in announced today is also being offered free for a limited time. It’s a one-of-a-kind delay plug-in that’s designed to react to a track’s musical dynamics to create versatile and experimental delays. DDLY combines both analogue and granular delay styles with dynamic responsiveness to incoming audio, giving it its unique character and unconventionality. iZotope says it’s great for drums, vocals, synths, guitars, and any other source with a good amount of natural dynamics and expressiveness. So for example on vocals, you can have a subtler delay on calmer verses and more intense delays during the big moments. The GUI provides realtime visual feedback on how when/how the plug-in is working on the source audio. DDLY is free until March 10th, after which it’ll go for US$49.
