Rev LX-24

Arturia’s lush digital radiance.

Historically, reverb was a very physical thing. Boxes full of springs, metal plates suspended in a frame, sound amplified into a room and re-recorded to capture the space. Then, in the 1970s, everything changed. The humble microprocessor, a small computer processor chip, was making waves in everything from car manufacture to synthesizer technology. It was only a matter of time before it found its way into recording studios, and the Lexicon 224 Digital Reverberator was one of the earliest cases.

Unlike traditional reverbs, its sound was clean, dark, without unwanted artefacts or resonance. Its long tails and smooth output became the reverb of choice for decades, favoured by everyone from Vangelis to U2, Peter Gabriel to Phil Collins — and it remains the spiritual ancestor of many contemporary ambient effects.

While not being the first ever digital reverb, its price point and simple feature set made it an irresistible asset to sound explorers of all persuasions. Its iconic calculator-esque control panel became a staple in studios worldwide, but it’s the sound that made the biggest impression.

Now Arturia’s Rev LX-24 brings it to life in the virtual realm with unmatched accuracy, from emulating its classic algorithms to careful modelling of its analog-to-digital converters. Enjoy a true atmospheric icon right in your DAW. The plugin is an enhanced virtual replica of a retro ambience box that defined reverb for a generation, making your mixes bloom with real-feeling space, cave depth atmosphere, and subtly-sparkling texture in seconds — all with a vintage digital sound that refuses to get old.

The Eternal Reverb
Reverb comes in many forms. The bouncy rattling quality of a spring tank; the crystalline texture of a shimmer reverb; but sometimes you just want purity, warmth, and ultra-smooth decay. That’s where Rev LX-24 comes in. Based on a true studio legend known for its effortlessly clean ambience, this FX plugin brings vocals, drums, guitars, synths, and entire mixes to life with its pristine long decays, quick-fire algorithms, and feature enhancements that give reverb a whole new creative purpose.

Classic View
Inspired by the original hardware’s iconic control panel. Get the lush reverb you need in seconds with the sliders, buttons, and classic LCD-style display that you can’t resist tweaking.

Advanced View
If you want to go deeper into your reverb sound design, experiment a little, or enjoy a more visual workflow, we added an Advanced View packed with vital extras for modern production.

Crossover
With the Crossover set to 1kHz, the bass offset means that the low end has a much longer decay for a dark, rumbly reverb response.

Crunchy Drums
The Room A algorithm on some drums, creates a bouncy ’80s-style texture, with a high distance setting and short decay.

Dusty Long Synths
Large Hall B with Vintage Mode and plenty of diffusion creates a dusty analog soundscape that oozes sci-fi vibes.

EDM Ducker
The Ducker effect turns a static synth riff into a pumping sidechain-style motif, using an external EDM kick as the trigger.

Lush Vocals
The Small Hall B preset on dry vocals, with high decay and almost no damping, creates a lush ambience.

Pitch Shift Guitar
Turn your dry guitar into a lo-fi centrepiece with Pitch Shift and Mode Enhancement.
