QSC TouchMix 16

QSC Audio Products, LLC used NAMM 2014 to announce a new digital mixer line. The cool-looking TouchMix Series comes in two models, the TouchMix-8 (12 input channels) and TouchMix-16 (20 input channels) with both providing an Advanced Mode operation for experts that gives total control over all parameters or a Simple Mode with just essential controls for… ah, everyone else. As well as standard DSP processing on all channels the TouchMix consoles have four digital effects processors. A comprehensive library of Channel Presets is included, designed by veteran live sound engineers, plus there’s a library of complete mixer scenes. If you need more help, you’ve got more wizards than a Harry Potter convention – including an onboard Effects Wizard and a Gain Wizard which continuously monitors and displays input clipping. A colour touch-screen provides access to all mix parameters or, of course, you can use a Remote Control App for iOS – an included USB Wi-Fi adapter creates the connection and no other network hardware is needed. The mixer is also capable of direct recording to an external USB hard drive in 32-bit broadcast wave format. TouchMix models come complete with their own padded carrying case and we should see them on the store shelves mid 2014.
